Mac OS X Lion passes 1 million downloads in a day

In its first day of release, Mac OS X Lion has been downloaded more than one million times. This OS update is the first to be available through the Mac App Store, and it shows extreme success for Apple, as Lion is the fastest selling operating system in Apple’s history.

These are good times for Apple, as they have reported record breaking Q3 earnings and released updated versions of Mac Mini, MacBook Air and Apple Cinema Display.

Apple Mac OS X 10.7 Lion launched

Apple’s long awaited update for its operating system is finally out, Mac OS X 10.7 Lion is on sale at Apple App store. The update will cost you $30 and you can download this update for Apple previous Mac OS X 10.6 Snow leopard from the Apple app store.
Mac OS X 10.7 shows significant improvements under the hood along with some visual enhancements.

Rosetta is not included with this update and ppc application won’t work any more. If you rely in you daily work on any ppc applications do not upgrade your Mac.

You can upgrade to Apple Mac OS X Lion only from the previous Mac OS X version 10.6 Snow leopard. Direct upgrade from 10.5 is not supported.

Google+ App for Apple iPhone iOS

Google released today Google+ app for the iPhone, the long awaited application for the iOS – unfortunately released with seemingly a lot of bugs and looks like a half baked attempt to quickly release the application on both platforms – Android and iOS.
As of now, Google+ for iPhone is available only for customers in USA, the app seems to be blocked for download for international users. Same applies to the Android version of the same app, which up until this day is only available to the USA users only.

Google+ app for the iPhone iOS is currently supporting iPhone only, and it will crash on the iPad. The app will not run on iOS 5, support for this OS “is coming later on”. Right now you will experience crashes if you will try to run this app on the iOS 5. The application is often crashing also on iOS 4 so you might want to wait a bit more until you install Google+ for iPhone iOS.
If you would like to check whether you are running the latest version of the application with the least bugs possible, please do the following:

Click on the gear icon on the top left of your App’s homescreen and look right above the Help button, the version number of the App should be: 1.0.1.1809

Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard 10A432 Gold Master RTM

Seems like build 10A432 is the Gold Master of Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard from Apple. This build will be soon released to manufacturers and probably will leak on the torrent trackers and sites. Several sources confirmed this rumor to popular mac rumor websites such as macrumors.com.
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard will be released on September and will be cost 29$ to upgrade for all Mac OS X 10. Leopard users.
This will be the first Apple operating system running 64 bit kernel.
